Probably a stupid question, but finally got some new front mud guards from dealer like they promised when I bought the pu. Of course they didn't send any hardware. Looking on-line I see a screw, clip and a grommet listed for the hardware. I understand the screw and maybe the clip is the plastic push in thing but what's the grommet for and do I need them ?

My guess is that the grommet is the part that the push pin goes through. The plastic push pin thing is a two piece assembly.

Kind of what I was thinking but didn't want to pull my back ones off just to check. Thanks

the stock ones suck. I had my front passenger side rip and started flapping on the highway. It was hanging by a thin strip of rubber. I yanked it off. Bought some Husky version and so far, so good.
