Well it has been around 3k miles since the rotation, it might have taken that long for all the mess to occur, just not sure at this point. I did drive it to work fine, but 1/2 mile down the road from my work this mess happened. It could have been from the shop not properly torquing the lugs, but a more reasonable excuse (IMO) was an attempt at theft, I've worked there for 6 years and people's wheels & even their vehicles get stolen from the lot. Who knows, I'm just glad it's fixed and I didn't pay anything or get injured (or anyone else for that matter).

Happened to my wife on the front pass side after she dropped me off at work. Tire shop over tightened the lugs causing five of them to shear off. Luckily I was able to scrounge up enough studs in town to replace them on the road.

I've been informed, contrary to my belief, that having spare studs is not helpful. Hmm... exactly what I'd have done! Nice job!

I had the same thing happen to me today. I had my lift kit installed by a shop which is a first. I was about a .25miles from the house and i was feeling a lil wobble but just thought it was because i needed UCA and an alignment. I snapped 3 studs and bent three but the wheel stayed on.
    1. Where can i get extended lugs asap
    2. Any ideas how to fix the slightly ovaled holes in the rim

TYPO: I meant extended wheel studs

The TRD FJ wheels take mag style (shank and washer) lug nuts. The Wheelers E/T's are conical seat.
