Not to be a negative-nancy but the option for a loaner vehicle is courtesy by the dealership, they don't HAVE to offer one. And the time withour your truck, nor do they owe you anything for that. You bought it, like so many of us, and found the construction/materials to be, well, shitty. Look at the bright side, Toyota is footing the bill to replace the frames on how many vehicles? Anyone have a tally from across North America? Doesn't matter, you got a refund for the LCA's and a new frame. Go enjoy you almost new truck and be happy.
Im at 145 days and counting, btw. But I just recieved a call that my frame is in, waiting for other parts.

My frame came in as well the other day. Wonder how long the rest will take?

They must have gotten a big shipment because mine came in also, its been 6 months. As expected the front calipers are locked up. They wanted $600 a piece to replace them. I got reman for $88 each that they are going to swap in.

Yes from non use. A bunch of people are having this same problem. Toyota will not pay for them. I tried but no love. People also have rusted rotors and flat spotted tires. None of it is covered. If you have the option to drive your truck while waiting for the frame to come in I would recommend it. Mine was deemed unsafe to drive so I had no choice.

had mine done a couple of problems i found was power steering pump was leaking pump fitting said might need a new hose but that would not be covered, transfer case is leaking at drive shaft they will cover that, 1 bolt that holds sway arm to frame was not welding in at factory i guess ? they put a mickey mouse nut and bolt in will check with them, all the caps for the bleeder screws missing, they reuse all plastic clips even if broken, broke the tip of my rear shock, took my spare tire lock. i guess the real pain is dealing with the dealer after you pick up you truck. overall they did a good job but never recommend to replace anything while change the frame guess when they start they don't feel like stopping to ask.dealer saying it's a 10 year old truck things leak i said wasn't leaking when i brought it in.

Got mine back today. It feels like they did a good job. Runs well tracks straight and true. No vibrations or squeeks. One big problem though. They broke the shifter on my manual transmission. I remember the day I dropped it off and the lot attendant said there seemed to be a problem with the truck, he couldnt find reverse. My guess is he had never driven a truck with the TRD quick shifter and broke one of the shifter pivots while trying to force it into gear. Dealer claims no responsibility said it came in that way. I have put 240k mi on that truck and can tell you it was not broken when I brought it in. Not worth the fight, I found one locally for $280 and am going to swap it out. Other than that the truck feels like it has about 150k less miles on it and im very happy to be out of the ford f150 rental.

This is why I avoid dealers with the truck and car, and why my motorcycles have never been to the dealer.
I wouldn't even let them fix the warranty things they owed me. I did them myself at my own expense because I don't trust dealers to fix really critical stuff or not screw up something delicate.

If a dealer screws up something on your bike and you get killed, they'll just tell your wife, "Not our responsibility. It came in that way!"

    Update.
After waiting nearly 7 months, my truck is finally set to get fixed. Over the course of those 7 months i wasn't contacted once by Toyota, for the record. Various calls to my local dealer where met with the same response every time " Sorry sir YOUR parts are still on back order, and we have absolutely no idea when they will be in." This last friday 1pm, same story. I was at wits end. I called, Toyota Corporate (for the second Time) and proceeded to tell them how ridiculous this was. 7months flapping in the wind, and still no end in sight, no vehicle to drive blah blah blah. She said yeah that sounds horrible, i'll pass this to our service manager here at corporate. Exactly 1 hour later, the d-bag (for lack of a worse term) at my local deal calls me and says " JIM, we worked some magic. All your parts are NOW here! Bring her in on monday."...... In pure disbelief, the only word i could muster was Okay!
    Frigging monkeys.

If parts weren't available after a month I would be e-mail-bombing Toyota corporate.
Hell, I should do that over the springs...

I'm new here. I just bought my 2005 dc trd. Going to crawl under mine tomorrow and take a close look. But Minnesota is not listed on the bulletin. We use salt like nobody's business. If there is an issue I wonder if Toyota corporate would cover it?

Well it was good news for me. Looks like my frame was already replaced. I never thought of going under the truck. I researched these trucks pretty well and knew about somethings to look for.Like the rear leafs, had already been replaced. It was clean. runs great. It looked very new underneath.

Alright..I know I'm being lazy here...I admit it...just found this thread. I have an '06, will be calling tomorrow to make an appointment.

If they deem mine too dangerous to drive, do they give you a spare? I need a truck that tows my landscaping stuff. If it passes and they undercoat, how long does that take?

Worst case scenario and it fails...I have an OME set up. Do they put all of that back on? I'm assuming they do.

Actually another member gave me the Web address for Toyota owners. They had all dealership records there. Very nice. Especially for the premium price these trucks go for.

    Stock for now...
Finally found a fix for the rusting frame and negatively arched rear leaf springs - traded it off 12/7/15 for a 1/2 ton pickup . Piss on Toyota and their games .

I am also the second of a 05 Tacoma with rust issues.Toyato did a full frame replacement. They did tell me I would have to pay for any parts that broke in the process.I got lucky and nothing broke during the repairs. However during a rear main replacemnt the shifter shaft and neutral safety switch did break from rust. Those where on my nickel.
