OP, looks nice! What's the silver part made of, plastic or metal?

I really can't tell. I'm afraid to tap it with something metal to find out due to scratching the paint. It definitely feels solid though. I guess I could weigh it and compare weights to the stock leather one?

I was more interested in how it feels anyways so you answered my question. I originally had the TRD knob (the US one, not the Japan one) and I didn't like it because I thought it felt cheap.

I got the Lexus shift knob today. I can't find the receipt but my cost after discount was $140. It fits well, but there is one slight issue for those that are very anal about fitment. The shift stalk in the Lexus is a larger diameter than that in the Tacoma, this leaves a very small gap between the shift stalk and the lower knob surround. It's 100% not noticible when the knob is installed though. Just like the Camry knob, the silver is a perfect match for the other silver bits in the Tacoma.

I personally like option 1, and at approx. $40.00, it's a great deal! I went the cheaper route, and got one off E-bay for around $20.00 .... but it's not an OEM piece. It does have some Carbon Fiber on it though, which matches the CF I installed in my interior....

I like the lexus one it is classy. That CF one and all the chrome=gaudy. I think the lexus setup would look better if the stalk underneath the knob wasn't chrome though. Maybe paint it flat black?

I'm going to be keeping the Camry LE knob. I like how it looks in my truck with the big silver center section.

I do love how the white stitching on that Lexus knob is such a subtle accent though. Very comfy and classy indeed.

you know i was worried at first that the Camry knob may look a little too long but seeing it in your truck that knob seems to add just the right amount of class without jumping out too much. i like that subtle look that you got.

Since you mentioned height, I need to break out a tape measure after work today while I have 3 shift knobs to do a height comparison between them. I'll measure the knob height and the total installed height. Do any of you want to see other measurements while I'm at it?

It is.... I liked the way it looked installed that way... lol! It's maybe GAUDY, but it was the nicest one I could find for $20.00. I'm too cheap to spend more than that on knob.... a bit of a fault of mine... lol!

Comparison pics. Sorry for the low quality.

It turns out the GS 450h knob's hole isn't larger than stock. The Camry LE knob's hole is smaller and a very tight fit on the shift stalk.

Sorry but I had not realistic way to measure the volume for you

I don't blame you. I don't think it looks bad at all. I think it compliments the carbon fiber wrap you did on the base very well.

Damn that 450h knob is nice! I wish it wasn't so damned expensive :(

No problem. I don't mind posting my findings when I answer my own questions.

I actually considered using salt, but I'm not sure how that would work out getting salt all over the leather. If I weren't trying to sell the Lexus knob I might have done it anyway.

That price is OBO ya know

Thanks for the link, I'll check them out! I had a TRD one for a day but wasn't impressed.
