You have a 21 gallon tank so you'd really want to siphon your tank damn near dry for a generator??

    Get 4 jerry cans

Yes!! if I have to depending on the situation. I would much rather be warm in the house while my generator was working during a temporary power outage than driving around. I could always fill up after the event.

Come on man, sometime you gotta do what you gotta do if it comes down to it. What would be the harm in being prepped for any possible occurrence? Having access to a larger supply of fuel is part of it.

Sorry, I disagree with you. Being prepped is having 20 gallons of fuel on hand in a jerry can. Because if you drain your truck down to nothing, if the event lasts longer than expected, you now have an empty generator and an empty truck. You're officially screwed at that point.

I have a propane generator and keep at least 2 full LP tanks on hand, just in case. In the summer I burn them in the grille but for the winter I keep 2 full tanks on hand full time and there's always at least 5 gallons of gasoline in the garage, just in case.

To answer your question. Yes they are.. :stirthepot:

Sent from a Hispanic via his iPad as he siphons a Tacoma's gas

OZ-T & Zombie Runner, a locking gas caps lock portion can be penetrated in all of 5 seconds. All it takes is a pocket screwdriver. See, I just broke the lock in my sleep.

If your going to require that much additional fuel look into a slip tank or external fuel cell. I have one that I am debating mounting at the front of the bed for the long road trips and times I get stuck on the highway due to avalanches.

I got the locking gas cap, just cause its more of piece of mind, cause if I have a locking cap and the guy beside me doesn't then I want to think he is the better target.

And to answer the OP's original question, I'm pretty sure the sales guys all say "The truck has an anti-siphon equipped system" But 9 times out of 10 they have no idea what that means...

im having trouble following whats going on here, someone keeps typing some sort of jibberish that only pete seems to be able to understand  and i can tell you, i am offended by it.

as for the OP, if you are worried about having enough gas, maybe you should be driving this instead of that coma
