Nice box. I would put one on my truck but I don't like that it does not leave much room in the bed.

You're right, it takes up a bunch of space but I find that I offset it by using the bed extender. Except I do worry about what people have said about the a weak tailgate and make sure that I don't put heavy stuff solely on the tailgate. I definitely recommend getting a box if you need one, before I installed it I was using the rear seats to hold my tools and such and everytime I had to take people around, I had to put it in the garage, what a pain! Now it's so great just to have stuff with me that I need and still be able to fit 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children!

Hey, so do these Low Profile boxes allow you to still be able to see the tailgate in the rearview without obstruction? I had to take a box off my last truck (bought it used) but couldn't see the tailgate when backing up, what a shame.......

My view is not blocked at all, also, I'm spoiled with my 09 rear view camera but without it, I'm still confident and can see clearly over my low pro tool box.

UWS is the best box I ever bought. I can stand on the top and never a dent. Im real tough on my gear and it always pays to get the good stuff. I put 2 of those little round 3 LED push top lights inside by the handles and it lights it up great, also good mood lighting when me and the wife dance in the bed on the beach after a few oat sodas!

Time to start thinking of a way to protect it form the sun.
I had a black UWS box on my old truck and the finish lasted for about 2 years, after that it started to fade. I didn't do anything to protect it, I just washed it with my truck.
I never tried any sort of polish on it, but that might work if it starts to loose it's finish.

Well it's gone now so I don't care. I tried some Meguiar's NXT on it but it didn't help at all. I think it needed a good polish. Trying to wax a diamond plate tool box= no fun.
