Ive heard several things that with a trd, it is best to stick with 17'' wheels because something about them not working with the brakes, but is this true? Id rather run 16'' because I like more tire than rim, and both tires and rims are cheaper if i can run 16'' wheels.

I am wanting to do 16'' ATX artillery wheels, 3'' toytec lift, and 285/75/r16 or 285/70/r16 BFG tires.

I think the TRD OR came with OEM 16" wheels, and the TRD Sport came with 17" wheels. I don't see how you would have a problem with a switch, as far as I know there are no differences in the brakes between the two TRD models.

16"s should be fine. Its nothing under 16" you want to go with like 15"s. OR does come with 16" wheels stock and Sports come with 17"s unless its the special wheels on the newer models and those are 18"s I believe.

good question. I think I read something before that said the sport sr5 have larger brakes and you will have to grind the bracket down so they do not rub the wheel.

I could be wrong that is why I am subscribing
