    You can very briefly run a lit lighter under the adhesive after you've pulled off the backing ( very quickly and dont let it stay in one spot at all) if you're working with it in cooler temps and it will stick perfectly.

    Darren, speaking of battery life, as asked above, do you recommend removing the batteries on the wired units? I highly doubt there will ever be a need for me to use it as a stand alone light in the truck as I have several flashlights aboard. I live in the south where inside temps in summer can be 120+ degrees. I would hate for those internal batteries to overheat and/or corrode and ruin the rest of the unit. Thoughts?

    I cannot see any reason to remove them but, if you feel that you don't need them for remote lighting, you can absolutely take them out.

    The unit works by switching between truck power and battery power through a reed switch - the circuit is either on truck power or battery power. There is no cross-power concern.

    Got it...thanks soo much guys. Now it sits flush. I did a proper prep this time and also hit both the dash part and the mount with a heat gun for a few seconds before mounting and no problems :thumbsup:

    The black looks great with the dash on my '13. Really like the amber ambient light.

    Had you considered installing a photo sensor to extend battery life even further?

    We have considered the addition of a photo-sensor for the V1 units along with various other 'upgrades' for it and the V2W. Effectively, we're planning a V3 / V3W. Release: TBD

    ...on that note, we're still looking for an electronics guru for a little assist. ;)

    Great product! Really like the blue and amber light combination I chose. I will post pics when I get a chance. Still trying to get use to the dimmers. They don't always work on the first attempt. Will update later.

    We do realize the dimming is our biggest weakness - however, most seem to set it and forget it (so we hear). No excuse. We plan to release a V3 / V3W in the future with ALL digital control which will both cure the dimming and facilitate some upgrades.

    Remember, we back our product completely - if you aren't happy, we'll refund your money. To date, we've refunded only one unit. We hope to keep this number low. :rolleyes:
