2013 Seatbelt Warning

OK, I've read the seatbelt disable thing several times and tried and tried.. does anyone else have problems turning off the seatbelt warning chime on their 2013's??

 

i tried on mine and it didnt work. i did the long 10 step process, not the hold the odo button in for 12 sec

 

It is just like the 2012's. It has to be done by the dealer via the Techstream software a computer and OBD2 system.

 

Do they usually charge for that?

 

Some have said yes some have said no. I turned mine off using the techstream software and a knock off adapter for connecting the OBD2 to a PC.

there is a thread here somewhere about taking the seatbelt mechanism apart and removing a spring in the switch and putting it back together, it works on the 2012 as I did it

 

i tried the odo for 12 seconds on mine with no luck either so it seems the dealer i are only option now errrrrr!!

 

Dealer told me no:-(

 

I would imagine for liability reasons they won't disable it.

 

I just bought the plugs from hong kong.6.50 sent to my house. love them.
Or go to a junkyard,cut them off and just use the plug.I have a 2012.
