I have a 2011 Tacoma. I prefer to drive with the vent fan recirculating interior air, rather than bringing in outside air, which in my area usually contains diesel exhaust.

However, I've noticed lately that the switch keeps reverting to exterior after a couple of minutes.

Is behavior normal, or is there a fault somewhere in my switch?

    Thanks for any advice.

Not sure, I have a 2010 and have had the same problem since I drove it off the dealership lot. I looked into it some but couldn't find any info on the matter so I just said screw it. I just hit the record button when I see it switch over on its own...

I'm on outside air 95% of the time, but this is good to know if/when I do run into it. Thanks for the heads-up!

Hold the button down for about five seconds and it stays on interior recirculation. Doofy, but that's how it is.
