No, not following you, the threads you post in keep going to the top of the list when I refresh :D

The lean spacers ARE top plate spacers, they're just not that tall. If you're using stock coils and going with a top plate spacer lift, you wouldn't need a lean spacer. If you're using aftermarket coils, you would put a taller spacer on the driver side than the passenger side. If you're using lift coils though, you would only be trying to get another 1/2" or so out of the top plates. You shouldn't stack a tall top plate on top of a lift coil. Stacking lifts is generally a bad idea.

    Is 3/4" considered tall?

Not really, in my opinion. I don't know as if I've seen a 3/4" spacer before but they're just a chunk of metal. If you're using lift coils though, you shouldn't need that tall of a spacer.

But that's what will get me over 3" lift :eek::eek:

    The 5100's at 0", + OME 885x's gives 2.25-2.5" + Top plate spacer at 3/4". 3.25" lift max.

Maybe I should just settle for 2.5" and change later :(

Without a drop bracket type lift, I don't think you want to be over 3" of lift. You'll end up swapping parts out of your front end in a hurry! And I don't mean a diff drop that comes with the Toytec kits, I'm talking an RCD, Procomp or Fabtech full out drop bracket lift that lowers everything in the front end. 885x's with the 1/2" top plate should set you nicely at 3".

for me this is all too much mind racking LOL!!!!
Im goin to have the system installed next Thurs.or Fri. and go from there....shocks are preassembled at .85 w/ eibach coils...wont be using top spacers except for the 1/4" for lean....plan is to se how things work from there and adjust....looks like that's all that can be done.....if ride too harsh...will either go w/ 885's and shock set at 0 or try the eibachs set at 0 and if align cant get right...will do LR UCA's.....seems like it needs to get put on 1st then see what happens since so many Taco's react so differently w/ same setups:(

I'm running 885s on OME 90000s for 3" lift on my 4Banger with stock UCAs. Toe & camber are at 0 caster is not in spec but close and no drive-ability problems.

Yes, with stock UCA's. The UCAs are just for alignment, they won't affect the lift height.

Yes but no reason to increase the depreciation value of my tires through tons of extra wear an tear either :D

do you happen to have your alignment spec sheet? im pretty sure my alignment isnt perfect i think the camber is negative (top out more than bottom) also what does your truck measure from hub to flare. i want to get my alignment fixed to prevent tire wear. and want to make sure i am not too tall to do so.

It's important to get alignment done by someone that knows what they are doing. My guy was recommended by several lifted local TWers & he owns a Taco.

ok so.....got the lift put on today (will post pics later but it looks the same as every other Taco w/ a 2.5" frt and 1.5"aal rear) and 1st thing was mechanic came out and told me frt shocks wont fit....of course im like wtf!!???
long story short i had toytec assemble the coils/shocks for the 100.00 extra and they assembled them w/ the top plates from 2004-earlier tacoma's....so had mech. use the orig. top plate and what ever of the new stuff he could (cost extra 150.00 labor due to disassemble/reassamble) and go w/ it...I'd call toytec...turns out the stud spacing from earlier taco's is less than newer one's...in the end prob. solved....used carrier bearing drop, no diff drop and all went on smooth from there....mech. got the caster in close enough specs that I dont feel anything funny at speed etc and i hit 75mph on way home....

as for ride quality....it feels like a solid stiffness if that makes sense...also (maybe just me) more responsive in steering.....what i am surprised at is how unrough the ride is....from reading everything thing on TW, I was expecting a pretty harsh ride....doesnt seem harsh at all....not sure why peeps bash the toytec coils in favor of 885's but feels fine to me.....

oh and i used the 1/4" spacer for lean....but still have some lean...personally i could give 2 shits cuz i goth the lift for other reason than looks....

oh and toytec is refunding me the 100.00 w/o any hassle....props to them! they were pretty apologetic...

I have a 1" rake which i wanted since i carry alot of weight few times a month and overall glad i did the lift this way instead of leaving the 2" spacer i had on there from two years ago:D

In the end....I would recommend this lift to anyone!!!

one last thing...my CV angles look fine still and will visit the UCA option at a later time if need be

    FD-37 3/4"

    FP-38"
    RP-39"

measured from pretty much level ground....ground upto bottom of fenders using a center line off of the hubs.

dont have stock #'s.....its the lift w/ the eibach coils w/ billies set at .85 which equals around 2.45"-2.5" lift...rear is the tsb aal 1.5" from toytec..

had a 2" spacer on frt that came off...put it on two years ago and didnt look at #'s then either....but i did get .5" more frt lift w/ the new kit....so my best guess would be to sub. 2.5" from 38" which is 35.5"....but this is all approx..

hit some speed bumps at 20mph little bit ago and still didnt feel any crazy harshness either....i think once the new susp. components get broken in...it'll ride even better....
