Engine Won't Start... HELP!!!

    So I go to leave earlier to go get something to drink and the engine won't start... great. I have no idea what the problem is.

    The engine itself doesn't even turn over when I turn the key to start it, it doesn't even make any noise whatsoever. However, everything inside the cab works fine (radio, lights, dash, etc) when its in the ACC position which tells me the battery is fine (I think?).

    Anyone know what the problem could be?

    Yeah it's in park. Would it still try crank even if the battery wasn't sufficient?

    Truck is in park or clutch fully depressed?

    Weak or no current to starter maybe...

    Check connections (from battery and on starter don't forget grounds) for corrosion and tightness.

    Check specific gravity of battery.

    Smack the starter...(dead spot).

    See if any of that works. These can be done quickly and if you have limited tools and a specific gravity checker for free. The checker is cheap.

    This means absolutely nothing regarding the starting ability of a battery. I would bet it is your battery.

    My father is going to check it out shortly and I'll report back. Most of what I've read online has said batteries need replaced every 3-5 years and I'm at 3.5 so hopefully thats all this is and not something major.

    Just went to autozone with the battey and it was deemed bad by their test thing. Got a new one and heading back now. Again hoping this is the only issue
