Jkirkpatrick was testing his new ARB today, we plowed through a lot, it was the off camber stuff that caused the most problems

Off-topic, but 7000km - you must be from the East Coast. Whereabouts? New Brunswicker here, displaced in Colorado. Keep those pics coming, awesome work.

Haha you guys are starting a colony out there. Most of my high school buddies made their way to Fort Mac - they'd be the ones speaking a mix of French and English, neither very good.

So I just sold my last factory piece, and after adding up what i spent to build I made $65, would have been a lot more if my rear bumper didn't get damaged before having a chance to sell it

Drivers side is 90% fabricated, a few welds to finish, add a support for the rear section, clean up and paint

Just read this whole thread myself. Very nice work !!! I've never fabbed anything on this scale, but I do all my metal work the same way. Cutoff wheels, 12" benchtop drill press, Lincoln 120v MIG welder. I have no garage though :(

I plan to make a rear bumper similar to this. I have a hitch receiver, never though about incorporating it into the bumper, that is excellent !!! I don't think mine is high clearance though like yours was, but I might try to make it work.

Did you get the bushings figured out for your swingout pins ?

I know what I'm going to do I just need to find time and money to do it.

The hitch was built to give 8" more clearance than stock, all I started with was a 6" long receiver tube I bought for $12, the rest was scrap steel, I started with the hitch because it is structural and needed to be strong.

Mikey, no garage sucks but it's not all bad I built this in a driveway with a extension cord plugged into my dryer receptacle

Wow, nice work here. I just finished my front bumper a couple weeks ago and am grabbing more gas for welding, and steel this week to start on the rear bumper. Real gratifying doing your own work. Huge learning curve with the front, hopefully the rear goes easier

Yup...Front seemed to get easier towards the end of the build. My biggest issue was me getting impatient and notches getting sloppy since I'm doing them by hand at the time. Rear should be much easier I'm guessing

Dang, crazy shit right there !!!

How do you make your notches ? I bought a few hole saws to use on my drill press, but when you're trying to do it at odd angles I don't think it's going to work very well.
