Topper Mounting

Well, looks like I'll be pulling the trigger on a topper next week. I have a 2012 TRD OR. I was looking at the bed rails today and am not sure how they would mount the topper since it can't simply clamp to the bed. Do they drill holes thru the liner or use some other process? Just trying to get an idea on how it mounts. Thanks in advance. MW

It just mounts to the bed rail system.

Depends on the make

My Leer has aluminum blocks that slide into the bed rails and the cap is bolted to these

They look something like this. Sorry for the glare on the clamp.

Yeah, sorry, its a bad pic. There is a bolt on the top of the clamp that is covered by glare that compresses the whole thing. The rail is pretty tough, and I am only using 4 of these clamps. It has been on there for a good 6 months with no problems.
