Traded in my 2010 dbl cab 4x4 ORD December 31st and wanted to thank everyone for their help over the past 3 years. It has been interesting, informative and certainly amusing. Good luck to everyone in 2013 and be safe.

If I was to trade in that would be at the top of my list to look at.

The Ford is a nice truck. Youll have more room and probably get decent gas mileage. Thats what i dislike about my truck. The gas mileage SUCKS.

The F-150 gets better MPG than the Tacoma and does 0-60 in 6.1 seconds. Hard to argue with size, performance and gas mileage. But really enjoyed the Tacoma, can't say a bad thing about it.

I like the new eco boost trucks. They look very nice. A friend of mine got one after his 2000 taco failed frame inspection and they bought it back.

Only thing that I don't like is the large gaping hole in the front where the (I'm guessing) intercooler is located. You get one rock kicked up in there and you're done. I would put some expanded metal similar to what people use for the satoshi in there to keep the bad stuff from breaking the good stuff :)

I would never have said this a few years ago, but Ford is really impressing me these last few years. I would feel pretty confident buying quite a few of their vehicles nowadays. About the only "American Made" company left, IMO.

Congrats on the Ecoboost! Enjoy, and you know you can stick around and we can still be friends and such

If you don't mind me asking, what did you get the Ford for? I'm a cheap-ass and always buy used, never had a vehicle with less that 100k already on it. But the Ford looks like a solid rig, and with two kids and a third on the way, I don't think my AC is going to cut it.

That was the truck I was looking at and researched before I bought another Tacoma 2013...I got to drive it for a few hours during test drive...it rides like butter and comfortable seating position also but when you in boost with those things it drinks gas like an old ford 460 V8 I can only imagine the horrible MPG when towing...
