New aux fuse block recommendations

So now that I have my beautiful new bumpers, lights and winch, I need some help with the wiring. I want it all done correctly and clean, so I need some help with the type of fuse block to buy and from where. I will be wiring
8k winch
Led light bar
4 led fog lights
Compressor
Cb
power inverter (low watt, for cell phone charges, etc)
I know how to run the wiring, I just prefer bolts to wire and figured the breadth of knowledge here could get me going in the right direction. Thanks a ton in advance!

 

Blue Sea fuse block, an 80a marine breaker, and 4ga cable for the power feed.

 

x2 Thats what I have. Buy one bigger than you current needs though would be my suggestion. probably wouldn't run winch on fuse block just straight to battery. Maybe I'm wrong on that part.

^Agreed! Run the winch cable directly to the battery.
Im running optifuse 100A max. I like it a lot. Pretty inexpensive too. Just have to build your own power cable.

 

If you fuse a winch you are going to need a 300 Amp fuse. I use a type ANL fuse for my winch and a custom build distribution center/fuse block. I use Mini ANL fuses for the little stuff. ANL fuses come in 100 Amp to about 500 Amp, the Mini ANL is available from 15 Amp to around 100 Amps. My Warn 8000 winch can draw 350 Amps if loaded down to capacity, but a light pull (stuck on kind of level ground not axles burried) can be accomplished with 100 Amp fuse. But Make sure you have extra fuses and the tools to swap a fuse!

The Blue Sea fuse panels are nice for a few or a lot of moderate current items like lights, etc. They use the space efficient ATO (modern car type) fuses.

 

And what is the benefit of the breaker? Sorry if I sound dense, but as I.said, wiring is not my forte

 

You need a breaker to protect the portion of the circuit between the battery and the fuses installed in the fuse block.

On the truck, manufacturers use fusible links that are designed to burn open in a safe location that won't start a fire.

A breaker is more convenient than a fuse because when it trips, you can reset it unless the overload was so severe as to damage it.

a little off topic but I have my mind set on a blue sea fuse panel and going to run it to a 100amp circuit breaker. My question is I've seen breakers running anywhere from $65 to $10...is there any difference between breakers beside the price?

have had blue sea in all my past rigs. Here is the latest evolution.

 

Went through a similar dillema last year and decided on a combination of Bussman relay/fuse block for low power applications and high amp circuit breakers for the stuff with more current draw.

The Blue Sea was also on the top of my list, but did not provide a relay bank I was looking for. The Bussman panel comes in several configurations (bussed, unbussed, etc) and is completely sealed from the weather. A bit pricey though when you add up all the parts.

I'm about to add 2 more circuits to the panel - bed lights and the ARB compressor. Already pre-wired for 5 circuits each 10awg.

 

this is an incredible aux fuse set up. expensive but it doesnt get any nicer then this.

by buddy runs an spod in his 2013 4 door rubicon... it is incredibly clean and only 2 wires go into the cabin.

 

I'm running a Delphi fuse box I pulled from a Saturn. 20 mini-blade fuses (9 of which are on a separate feed), 8 hi-amp blade fuses, and 6 solid-state relays. All for $30. And it's more weatherproof than the Delphi box that came in our trucks from the factory.

Everyone here seems to be pretty knowledgeable. I have some hella black magics, Jasper off road 3inch pods, cb, super winch, and, will be putting in an arb front locker with air compressor. Could you guys suggest a fuse block set up with part numbers and all material needed. I have no experience with wiring and want to do it right. Thanks in advance
