No mud flaps, plasti dipped emblems, and rear bumper, Weather tech digital fit, Bed mat from tractor supply. Pioneer 4400BH head unit. B.A.M.F bed rail tie downs. AVS vent visors.
because the dblb sucks off road compared to the SB. i don’t see a rear locger being to much of a help. when your hitch is hitting or you are bottoming out on hills.

I feel like a damn woman trying on shoes. Most days I'm happy with my SB but Every time I go to the home depot or I see a long bed I feel like kicking myself for not getting the LB. A friend of mine gets pissed at me and always says to get a trailer so I've been watching Craigslist for a trailer.

BTW, I get nothing but compliments on Pyrite Mica DCSB and every time I see one on the road I still think it's the best looking truck on the road.

I would vote for the long bed. I had an 05 DCLB and it did grow on me. I originally thought it would be too long, but never had an issue, although I never took it into anything too serious off road. I later traded it for a 2011 Access cab with the shorter wheelbase, but same size bed. I have never been sorry and have needed the extra space on several occasions (moving or work around the house, etc)

im biased, i know, but i have a DCSB, and i love it. i use it mostly for commuting, and sometimes short roadtrips, so i dont usually pack too much stuff in it. i dont do construction work, and i live in an apartment so i dont do any home improvement stuff. i dont really even need a truck, an SUV would have been fine, but i love the taco and wouldnt trade it for the world :]

The short bed has better weight distribution. Also the long bed does not come with a manual transmission, at least not where I live, which made the decision black-and-white.

I have to back down from you because I'm :jellydance: of your projectors...

I disagree. 5' is doable, but a tad short for my usability. 8' would be retarded long and look like crap, not to mention hard to park, and a waste for me. 6' is perfect...not to long, not too short...

I do not reget having a short bed because my taco is a manual. I will admit that the long bed would have been nice for hauling my Motorcycle.... I can just barley fit it into the bed with the tailgate down.

I would take my Manual over the additional foot any day though.

    Too early to tell.

Didn't want the extra cab because I didn't want my passengers to suffer what I went through those days hitching a ride in my buddy's truck, sucked! 4Door for me, but 4 door with long bed seemed to long of a truck. My opinion...

I've only had my '11 Short Bed for a couple months, but it hasn't been a hassle yet... at least nothing that an extra foot was going to make easier.

    * I like the looks of the SB over the LB.
    * Easier to find a parking spots in city situations.
    * It serves it purpose for my limited hauling needs (Trips to Home Depot, and the occasional small loads of mulch, top soil, stones).
    * My Dad has a trailer IF I should ever need to haul anything more substantial.

The short bed is small for sure, but if the bed size was really important to me I would have just got a full size truck. As long as I could fit my LTZ 400 back there with the gate down I was good with the small bed. Also having a trailer helps in case I need to haul the big stuff.

Needless to say, for what I use my truck for most (commuting to & from work and the occasional offroading trip) it’s the right bed for me so no regret at all.

I regret getting the short bed. Before buying, I told myself a long bed is for me. When I was at the lot to test drive, the SB seemed large that time and decided on it.

I went from a Super Crew Long Bed F-150 to a short box Tacoma. I do not work construction, I do not carry 4x8 sheets of plywood or ladders. The short bed Tacoma does everything that I need it to do. I carry my dogs and small stuff. If I need to carry something longer, I also have a Triton aluminum trailer that the Tacoma pulls great.

    Too few to list.
I had an 09 DCSB and now I have a 11 DCLB. I didn't like my bikes sitting on the tailgate. It all depends on what you need.

I love my dcsb! I use the bed all the time and a longer bed would be nice but I've never had a situation where I absolutely needed a longer bed. I think the long bed only looks good lifted and looks ugly with any tire size smaller then 285. Anything smaller and they just look so tiny. To me the long beds look like the apple "long phone" ... not proportioned correctly.

really glad i got my short bed instead of long bed... i have a bed extender so anytime i need a 'longer' bed i just flip down the extender... which has happened maybe once. When the extender is down it's longer then a long bed. I think the long bed looks like a station wagon and is much more difficult to park in tight lots or spaces... and harder to keep away from tree's when offroad. my mountain bike, snow board, dirt bike, and zx10r all fit fine in my short bed... and that's about all i use my truck for besides camping/general chores.
