Currently drive 01 Double Cab SR5

I've been talking to a dealer about buying a 2013 MGM Double Cab TRD Sport Edition. Before I pull the trigger was just wondering if anyone had some advice possibly on options they may or may not recommend? I don't go off road so I don't need 4x4. Quote i've recieved on the TRD Sport is $28,320 out the door. What have others paid, is that a good price?
    Thanks

For me, the only PITA is the OEM nerf bars. They look nice and all, but they're actually in the way when I get out of the truck.

I didn't 'order' mine when I bought it, it was there when it was born. I'm real close to removing them and giving them away to a needy Taco. :D

I'm surprised with all the opinions rolling around the thread i've only gotten one response. Oh well. Thanks Mike.

I have a '12 OR 4x4 so I can't help you much with pricing, but one option I would definitely recommend is the factory towing package. It's a great package that is priced well from the factory. Good luck!

I have a 13 sport DCSB 4x4 with entune. I paid $32k out the door. Only thing I would suggest besides 4x4, which you don't need, would be the entune. If you want nav. it works great. Might want to check it out.

28K sounds about right. I think that is about what I was quoted for a sport prerunner. decided to go Sr5 4X4 for the same price.

CALL another dealership and give them the numbers that you were offered and see if they can beat it. Tell the other dealership they are offering other things included in the one you already have priced out (i.e., step bars, racks, mats whatever) You will be surprised at what you can do just by calling around to others.

Mats or the all weather flooring (not sure if that is an options for the 13)
    Bed mat
    Roof rack
step bars if you need them but some types do more harm than good.
Question if you can do a tire swap out. I'm not a fan of the Dunlops!
See about extended warranty and what they will do for ya or extended maintenance.

If you can hang on to that 01 do it or sell it at private party value. Wished I still had my first gen.

This is the breakdown on it

    Base $24,610.00
    Options $4149.00
Manuf. Delv, Proc, & Hndlg $915.00
    Subtotal $29,674.00
    Dealer Fees $420.00
    Total before TTT $30,094.00

Options are TRD Sport Extra Value Package
    V6 Tow Package
    Carpet Mats

Out the door price on that is $28,320

I've got three dealerships within 50 miles of me that are in my state and two more within 50 miles just over the state line. I'm talking to the three in my state. This is the price from the dealer trying the hardest it seems like. i'm about to send this information to the other two in state and see what they say.

Sounds well optioned to me I don't know that I would add anything as long as it has the tow package the bigger alternator in the tow package is worth the added price alone.
