Options Poll: FLYZEYE Designs, LLC.

All, we have been getting various questions about optional finishes... Do you guys want more options such as those offered by hydro-graphing? Camouflage themes, skulls, simulated carbon fiber, different colors? Check out http://www.rlhydrographix.com for ideas. Give us your thoughts, please.

I think your current product line is great. Matching the interior color makes sense for the majority of the buyers, and your product blends in perfectly.

Can you still get the A/C controls and radio out after you install this, it looks like it might stop you from getting the A/C controls out once you have taped it onto the bottom of the radio.

 

^ You can easily peel it off. If you have any trouble, a hair dryer will loosen it up.

The tape can be replaced very easily at any hardware or general store with the 3M double sided mounting tape/foam. Its $2.00 for a 1.5 meter roll.

 

Speaking of your product, I was considering buying one and was curious if you still have any black trim, in a wired version, with just white lights.

Yes. You do NOT have to remove the mounting plate to gain access. That said, it does require extra effort to get the HVAC control panel out but, it can be done.

 

True but, we do NOT recommend the user-level 3M double-sided mounting foam - it's simply way too thick.

It makes a HUGE difference in the fit quality. Our version measures something like 7 mils (not millimeters / 0.007"). Most readily available 3M foam tapes are running in the millimeter range.

 

The black cases are currently SOLD OUT but, replacement cases are expected in mid to late January.

I certainly don't mind sending PMs, I just fear my C.R.S. (Can't Remember Sh!t) will kick in and I'll miss you (and others). I will update a few posts regarding black cases as soon as I can confirm they've shipped.

 

The A/C controls can be removed with leaving the base plate on, I did it just to check that myself while installing. And in reality, the bottom of the head unit bracket is 'soft' enough that no trimming needs to be done to install wire. I did not cut/trim any plastic.

 

I don't think there will be a huge following wanting custom cases. Maybe work with a hydrographic vendor off TW to offer it as a special order option.

 

I don't expect a huge following either but, as a possible option, it might just make someone's day.

We are always open to ideas and as you know, we like to work WITH our customers as well as for them.

Never seen nor heard of this product before. After looking at the website, I ordered.

 

So, I see we need to expand our efforts in getting the word out!
