I've never let a place like wal mart rotate tires or anything like that. I always let a small local shop do all my work like that, because they are good. But they stay busy and I work nights so can't get in hardly ever. So let wal mart do it since it had been 6000 miles since last rotation, and this is what they did on top of costing 32$. 3 wheels look like this ImageUploadedByTapatalk1358101326.576617.jpg

Wow that is a bad one there. I would talk to a manager there. Granted it's Wal-Mart and I would never take any of my vehicles there, they should not be that bad.

Dealership did that to mine. When I reported it they made me an appointment and repaired them. Can't tell they were ever damaged. Raise Hell.

I've seen damage like that from all kinda places. Hanging weights on the lip of the rim runs that risk...i hope that fix it for you.

and you complained to the manager and lived happily ever after once he made it right?

or you left and days later decided to bitch to tw about it instead of taking action yourself?

Why didnt you do it yourself? on top of that a good reputible tire shop as you say you normally go to, generally schedule appointments. try it out.

I bought a box of 12lbs of tape weights for $50, that will be a lot of wheel balances...

The crimp weights are good on the steel rims, not so good on alloy.

This. I've had Wally World do mine, on a few occasions, never had any complaints. Also OP, pretty sure the $32.00 is for the life of your tyres, not just the one time, but not sure I'd want to go back.

Sears put the stick-ons on mine after their rookie tire changer put some gouges in my wheels removing the factory weights.

Oh, and then I drove away and heard a click click click....
He had doubled up the weights and they were hitting my calipers.

Damn that sucks! I almost bought tires from them when I found out I could get Terra Grapplers from them for about the same price as my Geolanders but this was the reason against it. I didn't want some Walmart guy touching my wheels.

I suppose DT would have price matched but oh well.

    I hate to see that.

I've never had issues with wal-mart tire center...but then again, I would never pay someone to rotate my tires

The damage was from the weights they put on. They took the ones off that have been on it from the factory why they did this I don't know. They didnt even need re balanced. They worked on it last night which took an hour and a half and was dark when I got it back and didnt notice it until this morning

Did you ask for a balancing too? Or just rotation?

Those marks are from where there was a weight, not from where one is.

I honestly don't know what they would do to fix it, but I guess now would be good time to paint wheels lol. Which is better gunmetal or black on a magnetic gray??
