Hey everyon, well I have a question. I installed the front coill overs of my toytec ultimate lift kit yesterday. I didn't mess with the adjusters so I assume it was set to the 2.5" lift factory setting. After I installed the coil overs the truck seemed to level out. Was wondering if maybe I should be looking for some sort of lift in the back. Definitely does not have a AAL. But I'm in the process of putting that on, but doing it all alone is time consuming considering I've never done it before. Thanks guys.

You got it looking pretty level man. I would run it like it is. If you want more lift then go for it though. It's your truck, do what you want.

    check my build
if u havent put the AAL in yet, and by the way it sits level now, more than likely not at 2.5inches of lift. u could crank them more and see were it puts u at, then go for the AAL. but ride qaulity is gonna change a little. and if u like the ride height ur at now, i'd say dont mess with it anymore

Thanks a lot guys. I do agree and think its leveled but I already have one side of the AAL on. Will finish in the morning. Plus I will be putti g 285/70/17 on it once I'm done, I already have the tires. So do y'all think the front was not likely set to 2.5? Do y'all have tips to adjust and measure, such as where do I measure?

Measure from the center of the hub to the flare. If you didn't measure before then you won't know exact lift. Lift doesn't look like 2.5". Get ready to do some trimming with those tires going on there. You will need to get that 2.5" of lift. Did you get the uca's to adjust the alignment? If you go that high you will more than likely have your caster to far forward unless you get some uca's.

I didn't really understand the importance of the UCA's when I ordered my kit but I do now. So with that said I will be ordering them in a couple of weeks. But will run it with stocks for now. So I guess I will finish the rear and see where it stands and adjust the front from there. But as of now do u guys think the rear looks stock? I always thought the back was a lot higher than normal.

    Always something
when I installed the 3" spacer in the front, I left the rear stock and drove it for couple weeks. To most untrained eye, most people will not notice the difference, but since I had the rear 2" add-a-leaf already, I figure I might as well lift it. Afterwards, I'm glad I did. It really does make the whole truck slightly taller, and looks more proportion as I do prefer the rear to be higher than front due to carrying loads.

As to your front, it does look tad shorter than it should be. I know I had the 3" lift, but 2.5" vs. 3" is so minor that most shouldn't be able to tell. But looking at your truck, it looks more like 1.5 or 2".

Attached are some pictures. Hopefully, you can see the difference in the 2 pictures is with front 3" only, and the other 2 are completed with 2" rear....big difference in person. IMHO, it makes a difference in adding the rear lift for sure.

Wow I can definitely tell the difference. Thanks for those pics. I guess I'll have to see when it is done in the morning. I will then raise the front. Hopefully I don't mess that up lol

Got it thanks and I agree. Any tips for me adjusting the coil overs? Since I didn't do a pre measure I won't know exact how much I am lifting. I know it says dont exceed 3" but how will I know

Each 1/2" of threads that you move the adj down is 1" of lift. That is the case most times. It will depend on how much weight and all you have in your truck. If you go all the way up to max lift on those things 1. the ride will start to diminish 2. alignment is going to be way out of whack
I would wait until you get your uca's before you lift anymore. No sense in wearing out tires you don't have to.
To adjust them take the weight of the truck off the coilover, loosen the little set screw, and use your spanner wrench to turn the adjusting collar.

I think you are looking good where it's at man. Like the wheels on that rig too.
