I also put 1" aluminum spacers (actually a snowmobile part) in my front bolts only. left the back ones where they are. i wanted more support on the back of my knee, and it helped me feel like im not sliding into the steering wheel. Used grade 10 bolts- stronger than stock so im not worried about an accident at all. Had to drill out the back bolt holes to get the front bolts to align with the threads in the floor properly.

Still not 100% comfy in the truck tho, looking for any kind of seat that is a direct bolt in, no mods required. Maybe an old body style Tundra? Never thought of that before, but theyre on the same chassis as the 2nd gen taco arent they?

They don't, and it's one of the few things I don't like about the truck, but damn, you guys going a "pile o' washers" lift are going to get seriously hurt if you hit something hard.

    More than I can afford
    Tundra seats fit in Tacomas?

If so, I am so doing this. Obviously the heating/cooling would require some serious creativity to make happen.

While I am pretty happy with the seats in my X, I utterly hated the worn out seats in my 87.
Put a pair of lexus power seats in it, ahhhh, comfy. Was not even close to a bolt in swap but so worth the effort.

I'm 6'1" and I have zero issues with head space and getting in/out of my truck. Someone mentioned head space if they raised there seat and my head doesn't even come close to the roof.

For comfort reasons and to adjust the slope of the seat, I raised my rear 3/8" and it made a huge difference. I was still able to use the factory bolt with plenty of threads left. I also added Clazzio seat covers and these seats are super comfortable. 1" raise is a lot.
