2006 DC V6 auto, 99k miles, $19k. Perfect interior, one blemish on a fender, speedway blue, new bilstein 5100 shocks, upgraded rear leaf springs, new tires. overall great condition.

Going to drive it this weekend, hopefully.

too many miles for that kind of dollar amount, if it was 75k miles or less thats one, but as soon as you cross over that 100k marker the value will drop, i was in the same boat, and it was a better deal to lease a new 2013 TRD Sport with no money down for $324 a month instead of financing a used truck for $375 a month with a lot of miles....just my .02 cents

If that is the one you really want. However, regardless of Toyota quality, or ability to hold value, I'd never pay that much money for a used vehicle of that many miles regardless of company. I'd rather own it from day one and know what issues it possibly develops than pickup an almost 100k truck. I looked into getting a used Tacoma a while back but always figured out in the end brand new is still a better deal (if you want to own it until the wheels fall off of course)

Nothing wrong with buying a used Tacoma for whatever price, just saying I'd rather own it new if all possible.

Thanks for the responses. I thought the price was a little high as well. I was just seeing what other thought about it.

if its any comparison, in november i paid 21k for my 10 DC Prerunner,34k miles, perfect inside and out with brand new tires.

edit* plus mines certifited used until 100k and lifetime oil changes. cant beat that

I'd go brand new IMO just so I know that I'm the one who put the miles on the truck. You never know with used. And for the price you might as well go new.

A 2013 with 0 miles for 30 is better than a 2006 with almost 100k and no knowledge of how many skanks the previous owner picked up in it is lol.

What do you think its worth, if I was to try to talk the guy down? Seems like most in that condition are worth more like $16-17k.

Pre runner or 4x4? Makes a big difference in value!

Don't buy it. Especially at that price.

My TRD Off-Road had 36K on it when I bought in October. Decked out. I paid $24,500 with an upgraded touch screen nav radio.

Doesn't seem worth it for a truck with almost 100K.

Used vehicle prices vary from region to region so you should probably take that into consideration however, I think that your gut about $16k is a little closer to reality than that asking price of $19k. Remember to consider that anything over 12k miles per year ( 72k for this truck ) is high mileage regardless of Toyota's reliability and ability to hold value. Good luck though!

I paid about that for my 07sr5 4x4 with 90k in early'10 in Joplin mo. No regrets. Resale with 200k on these is still respectable. I say if you like it, go for it!

Like others said it varies region to region, but a nice deal around my area seems to be in that 16-17k price range (4x4 with TRD). Regardless there are still a load of listings priced at $19-20k, but even those seem to be less than 100k miles, more like 70k on ODO.

IF you want a used Tacoma and plan to keep it for a long time/forever, brand new is better, and if you want/need used, just wait around, patiently browse, and hop on a lower price/lower mileage option if possible. I see fine examples of Tacomas pop up all the time around here off and on for a good price/mileage option, but they come and go. Same goes for people who are out of there mind charging whatever they "think" its worth. That right used Tacoma will pop up eventually, just ask 1st gen owners who bought used, they know the deal on waiting for the right one:D

My .02. I just bought a 06 DC LB v6 auto 4x4 sport. 6cd power doors and windows. Paid 14200 for it it has 130k. I get ridiculed for it every day at work. But it's what I wanted. I Kelly blue booked it and the trade in said 11500. Soo I don't think I got hosed too bad. Now I looked At another it was an 07 96k base access cab they no power anything. They wanted 18k  only good thing was it was a 6spd. It's up to you. Personally, just my opinion I DID NOT want a new truck. Soo if your happy then who cares. I would buy my truck again in a heartbeat.
