    have an 08 prerunner with v6, 93000 miles, started up yesterday and the check engine light was on, checked everything under the hood, all was well, also runs great. Any ideas ? Many thanks, George

    Put a code reader on it and see what it says caused the CEL.

    Have you checked your gas cap? It could be something as simple as a loose gas cap. I'd check that, but I'd also get the code just to be safe.

    Go to an auto parts store if you don't own a code reader. They typically will read codes for free.
