    808 ALLDAY!!
Well after all the searching and applying for loans, getting approved, all in all the ending total of me, saying YES and signing the paper work today to take the new '13 DCLB TRD home would have cost me $547 a month for 60 months......Just can't do it....Guess I'm keeping my paid off '07 Rubicon for now.

Well, maybe another day when I make more money this might be feasible, for now, I can't join the club with a new Taco. Party on all, I'll keep trolling around.

a lot depends on the dealer. i spent hours with the local one and ended up with 27 otd at 12.5% on a 4 cyl 4x4 sr5 access cab. they wouldn't even take my old truck. they offered to dispose of it for a fee lol. i was offended to say the least

dealer up north that i just strolled into to look at some used models had me driving away in an hour at half the interest and only 1200 down that they gave me for the old one. no bs just "heres a good price, heres a good interest rate considering your down payment on a USED truck and heres the keys."

gotta shop around a bit if your confident in your credit

No, my credit score was 740 Rubi was going to be passed over to my girl to drive, the above deal was no trade in, no cash down, just a pre-approved loan check from my bank for $37k

This is my DD that I was going to let her drive while buying a new Taco, my Rubi has 2" pucks and 1.25 wheel spacers.

$37k with no down payment? No wonder it was so high.

What truck were you going to spend $37K on?

    This...

I got my 2013 DCLB TRD Sport for $30k OTD...You don't have to get the fully loaded BAJA to get a great truck. If you have a jeep, you're used to no room...you could get an access cab or DCSB and be under $30k OTD easily.

Check with Your toyota financing to see what deals they got going for payments. You may get a better deal with that if you go for 0%/60 mo

Also, extending payments out to 72 months will drop payments by $85/mo or so...that's what I did and I just make higher payments than I owe. Truck can still get payed off in 3 years, but if something financially bad happens, I have 6 to take care of it.

Or lease...then you have the buyout option at the end.

it's the region we're in too...37k sounds like 4wd TRD

Keep what you have, save whatever you can as a "car payment" and then go buy a 2 or 3 year truck with cash when you can afford it. Your Jeep looks pretty nice, just keep driving it for a couple years.

Good decision OP. i would say your dream was not shut down, just delayed.
Save the $500/month for the next 2 years, then buy a new one with a good down payment and your monthly payments for the balance will be $200/m.
If something else happen financially before then you will have cash available to deal with it.

When I got mine I went in and got the 36 month loan for about 500+- a month, 0% apr
Put about 50% down and now owe about 13000 on the 2012 DCLB 4x4

This was the first time I have not used my bank due to my bank giving me 4.5 and Toyota offer was 0%....

Best thing I can tell people is to save up and never get into anything that you need a loan over 60-75% loan to value. Don't look at all those 60-72 month loans, get 36-48 month.
It will help you in the long run.
