I did sliders first and choose my lines very carefully when I off road. I've done a number of trails over the years and made it out just fine. I've come close to buying skids a few times, but I just don't want all the weight on my truck 24/7.

I don't think there is a wrong answer, go for both if you can. The stock skids are trash however.

x2, I'd go sliders first. They prevent some very expensive trail damage if you can choose your lines carefully. If you don't care about body damage and want to rock crawl, then skids since they protect the vital driveline parts.

But, they are there. There are no stock sliders however. My vote is sliders first. Again no wrong answer here.

Sliders. I have armor all the way around my runner and I have hit/used my sliders more than any piece of armor on my rig.

Sliders. As said before, pick your lines and use a spotter.

x3, sliders, more then likely you wont judge a tight turn and take out a body panel before needing belly armor.

Sliders.......at least they can be used as steps when you are not wheeling.

I voted sliders, but I might even consider the rear bumper first, in hindsight.

    Sliders...

Although shitty, your truck has skids now...it doesn't have anything protecting the rockers..

Not only do they tighten up the frame if installed correctly but they provide ample door ding and auto accident protection during daily driving.

    Skids do neither.

I have wheeled the crap out of my truck with out skids..... but not without sliders.

Sliders for sure. Your stock skids have the "potential" to save your underbelly from damage (don't count on it though). You have absolutely NOTHING protecting your rocker panel, so you're better off protecting what's unprotected first, then upgrading what's weakly protected.

Most people will never really use aftermarket skids. Most people will never even see rocks. Like me, here I florida where the roughest thing I will see is a rotten stump.

Skid's driveline is more expensive to repair and can leave you stranded if you break. A dent can be pulled and repaired .

No, sliders are necessary for any off roading IMO. Even if you don't encounter any rocks, there are trees, tall stumps, etc that can come up and bite your rockers. .
