    Hi all,

    2009 TRD-OFF ROAD, doublecab.
I noticed that earlier this morning, I tried locking my doors using my key fob. I heard the sound of the mechanisms working, however did not hear the "beep" until 2 seconds later. I walked closer to my truck and noticed that all doors were locked except driver door. I am able to lock my driver door manually via key. I am also able to unlock all doors via key fob but still unable to lock the driver door with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all! Let me know if you need more info.

I had the same problem in my 08. I replaced my driver door power lock actuator, took about 45 minutes, problem solved. It was very easy to do.

So this problem doesn't sound electrical to you right? How much did you get the actuator for and where? Thanks for all the help.

The only reason why I'm asking if it may be electrical is due to the fact that the "beep" is so delayed now. It takes about 2 seconds now for it to actually beep after pressing the key fob.

Im not sure about the beep as my 0& doesnt have that function. My driver door started working intermittently & finally stopped. My passenger door worked fine, 'both doors worked with the key & door switch. I got my actuator for $216 online from Toyota parts barn I believe. I'm not home right now but will confirm place I ordered from in the morning. My local dealer wanted $300 for the actuator.

It sounds like the actuator motor (except for the delayed beep) and that's a common problem on our trucks. Don't have to buy a new actuator though, you could pull the actuator out and clean the carbon deposit on the electric motor. Took me about 2 hours the first time but 45 the next time.
