Throttle Body Spacer, Problems?
Will i have problems putting on a throttle body spacer on a K&N 77 Series cold air intake? Some people have told me that K&N and TBS dont mix to well, I have found a place that sells and installs TBS and was wondering if i would see any problems before purchasing and installing one

Jhodge had it with his K&N for a while. He did not like the whistling though, LOL...

It can get anoying, especially if you have an auto.

I just took mine off. It was ok, got the Volant intake now, and it did not fit at all. And I was not cutting up a 300 + $$$ intake for a $100 spacer.

Heres my FS thread, and do not pay someone to install, it take like 10 min, maybe 20 if it's your first time to install.

Yup. I love it. Not as loud as XDI, but pulls harder. Oh yeah

And dont use the word boost for an intake, might anger our F/I brothers LOL...

Cant say bro... The gains I feel are over XDI, no Dyno, and I never had a K&N. One thing I can say is check this thread on temps. I just posted my test: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/per...tml#post375083

do what you want, but i used to be on a forum for another vehicle where several companies made different models of a tbs claiming all sorts of hp gains. Someone called them out on it. Then he made a non stop movie of him dynoing without the car. shutting the car off. installing the part. the dynoing again. lost 8 hp. He didnt cut any of the movie so he could prove he didnt tamper with anything. The guy admitted to being a fraud, and now he's out of business

Autoanything had a good price, not sure if still available. Use your TW coupon.

Just remember, only thing I can back up is Temps. No proven gains. Unless you want to trust my X Guage: 345 HP @ 5000 RPM,105 MPH in 4th Gear This is supposed to be at the flywheel. Highly doubt it.

Finally finding a spot to open my baby up all the way was priceless. Now back to driver improvement training
