LED's from csjumper2003

Hello Forum,

I purchased new LED's in white for my DCSB from csjumper2003. I would like to do the mod that makes all of the lights come on when you open the doors. I read some posts that say to use a diode. Others say no diode necessary. Others say it won't work with LED's. I would like to know if anyone has done this WITH LED's. Please post the steps & pics if available. Speaking of pics, here are mine:
