The 2012+ don't have the 2 different kinds anymore, just 2 outlet plugs and no cig lighter (maybe still avail. as an option?).

    Wow, that's quite a bit.

At first I felt the same about backup cam, but I've grown to really like it in the mirror. Also, I'm pretty sure if you get the Entune models with the video display the backup camera does show there...so...

I HATE vehicles that auto-lock when put in gear. I realize the safety feature behind it, but I'm not a child -- there are reason why you may have to open a car door when in gear. My current Tacoma is a manual transmission though, so I guess I wouldn't have to worry about it regardless.

Why not carry the key fob? (You may have a good reason, just curious)

I hate the auto-dimming mirror as well, mine gets so dark at night you can barely see out of it. "Fixed" it by putting a small piece of tape over sensor.

Tilt steering wheel acts like most Toyotas I've ever owned, though to be honest, I rarely adjust it.

Not sure what you mean by interior lights? Mine comes on almost instantly when I shut the car off. Although, again, you wouldn't have to search for the lock button if you carried the fob with you.

    *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

    My own complaints?

Heated mirrors would be awesome. Maybe leather? Don't know...don't really have too many complaints.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
That the passenger window was fully automatic too like the driver's. I love the brakes on mine, drums work just fine. Only time they suck is when they get wet.

I hate how the dash guage lights don't turn and off with the headlights, and the dimmer switch is'nt backlit and not in the best spot. I find it annoying to have the dash lights on during the day. Never seen another car that does this. I've searched here and found others with the same complaint and I'm suprised no-one has figured a wiring workaround for it. Maybe it can't be done. I also dislike the light gray carpet and seats that stain so easily, I want seat covers and dark charcoal or black carpet. I already got black oem mats here from another member.

That's mainly due to your lift and tires, and the truck now being undergeared at the diffs and needing to make it up with engine revs.

    Regearing eliminates this issue.

It's a new trend I guess. Most Hondas made after 2005 are like that. On my Fit it was a necessity - the gauge faces almost blacked out when off. It kinda sucks because there's always some dork who sees gauge lights on and drives around in the dark with no headlights. The Tacoma's gauges are easy to read all the time so who knows why they lit 'em up.

As for dimmer spot, it could be worse. Much worse. Try driving a Fit or a Corolla; to dim the dash, you gotta rotate the tripmeter reset button. Yeah, ya gotta stick your arm through the steering wheel to reach it! I thought the Tacoma's placement was darn awesome compared to that dumb design.

    These barely fit up there.

    My complaints:

    No bed lighting
    No auto-down passenger window buttons
    Heated mirrors
    Unlit 4x4 switch

Have a few more just can't remember them right now.

I agree with this. Drums are the way to go on the rear of trucks. They adjust themselves when you apply the park brake. Other manufacturers have had lots of issues with rear disc brakes and wearing prematurely, and rear rotors on trucks seem to warp easily. I owned my old Tacoma for over 100k and never put rear shoes on it. They still had an easy 60% left when I got rid of it.
