Some car companies have pdfs of the Owner's Manual available - I believe Toyota does via TIS. While handy in electronic form, I'll always want a hard copy in the vehicle. Short of losing or destroying it, there's not much to go wrong with a book.

Oh, no doubt keep the book, but I wouldn't mind something on my phone, for a quick look up thing. Pdf is ok, but not as easy to navigate.

Perhaps it's because they can't read? My neighbor's kids (ages 9 and 11) can't read for crap. Plus, they don't comprehend what they do read. Both are bright kids, but they can't be bothered to read anything. But, they can both play video games like crazy.

I just blame it on the parents. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

But is really a lack of common sense. We maybe getting smarter but common sense is a rare commodity anymore.

One of three things are about to happen

1 I contact Toyota Southeast and explain the problem and want it repaired.
2 I install a control switch
3 I trade in and go back to VW where I've received no question ask,no smoke blown up the pooper service.

There is nothing to fix or mod.... read through the owner's manual before you get all huffy puffy.
