Im looking for constructive honest unbias opinions on the Pro Comp 3" EZ lift (3" spacers, rear aal, and differential drop). I ordered this yesterday and after reading some reviews from others and the usual spacer hating I'm starting to rethink using this. I have a 2011 4wd access cab, I only do some light fire roads to get back where we ride, no serious off roading. I also though dont want to be putting alot of money in repairing things if this set up will have a big impact on my truck. I've heard mixed stories from no problems to horrible problems. Please dont just hate here, constructive honest feedback please. Would really like to hear from people who are running this set up. Is it worth it to get the toytec version, its 40 bucks more but looks the same and made of the same materials. Thanks for your help and sorry for the newb question.

It sounds like you've already read about and are aware of the potential issues you could have with the large spacer lift and you've already ordered the kit... Not sure what opinions are really going to tell you at this point.

I wanted to do the spacer lift for a long time but after reading that alot of people just switch to the 5100's after doing it. I just decieded to spend the extra money up front. I get my 5100's and rims installed next week. I will check this thread in a couple weeks. Please update it as to how the spacer lift worked out.

Jk :D I went with the OME and love it. If I were you Id get 5100's. And the diff drop isn't necessary.

As far as constructive feedback, I wouldn't pay the extra money for the Toytec spacer kit. It's just a chunk of metal used to space the shock down and both will do the same job, one just does it cheaper.

You should know about the potential risks of using a spacer lift. Hate aside, they have caused problems for some people. As you said, you will find people who have only run that type of lift, wheeled the hell out of their vehicle and never had an ounce of trouble. On the flip side, you'll also find the people who experienced their shock bottom out before hitting the bump stop causing the shock to snap.

not sure what more info there is to give man. spacers only give the appearance and take away from the performance of your suspension. cancel your order and go a different direction if your concerned.
my 5100's are completely awesome and with better valving are an improvement over the stock TRD bilstein's. no sleep lost over here!

I have 5100's set at 1.75 and they ride much better than stock shocks. I have the spacers at home but decided not to install them based off what I have read on here. I will eventually get 885x's coils and Light Racing UCA's w/ 5100's set to zero along w/ getting a leaf pack for the rear vs my 2" block. The block is fine for me and the driving I do at the moment until I have the money to upgrade. I also rarely do any offroading.

I read all the stories on the spacers and ended up going with 5100's on the $300 deal so I have less than $400 in my setup including alignment. I set the fronts to .85 setting didn't change the rear at this time. I just wanted to level the truck and run 265/75/16's. I don't wheel either since I have a prerunner but I do use my truck. And like Gprice66 stated the ride with the 5100's is much better than stock.

What wheel and tire combo are you looking to run? Do you need 3" of lift?

Thank you all for the input, gonna be searching for a deal on 5100's. Just like to get alot of input, I read all the different options in the suspension thread but I dont make that much money and was trying to get what's adequate for the least money, but am not willing to f**k up my truck just to have a lift.

I got just under an inch after alignment and settling. I have the 4 leaf pack in the rear and probably could have gone to 1.75 but held back.

Check out Downsouth motorsports they have all four shipped for right at $300.

I already purchased mine and the rims. Im having them installed next week. I have the 4 leaf pack to. Im planning on doing the 1.75 setting. The guy at 4 wheel parts told me I will get almost 2.5 inches which should put me about a half in nose high I think.

I ran spacers for a year on my old Taco, didn't wheel them like I do my OME setup but it cleared 285s and the ride was a bit stiff, other than that it was fine. My alignment was in spec also so I didn't need UCAs.
