I have searched everywhere. I have a 2009 and the process above is for 1st generations. Anyone know if it is possible to program the key?

Many Home Depots can now here in 2014. A bought a blank for $70 and they programmed it for our 2005 Taco. I didn't ask what they'd charge if I had my own blanks. But I bet you could get them to do it if you are buying something else while your there. :) It worked great.

Ok..so what if I have lost all keys?! I can get a new chip key and cut from the dealer for $31. Are there steps on how to program a brand new key without paying the dealer $200?

A locksmith will be cheaper, but it’s still probably going to be $100+ and you have to get the truck to the locksmith. If the locksmith comes out to your location, it will probably be close to $200.
