Welcome to TAS, our directors Brunes, Chris4x4, and Tcbob make sure we all have a safe place to discuss our problems and seek help from other members.

Have you had any signs of the sickness yet? Telling your wife or girlfriend that you have to run to the office, instead heading to the Truck shop so you can stare at the accessories in the store? Do you feel yourself reaching for the credit card in your wallet while on an accessory dealer’s web site, or spending hours on TacomaWorld.com trying to decide what to buy next?

Knowing that you have a problem is the first step in getting better.

Hell, who am I kidding, there’s no hope for our illness! Now where is that damn credit card?

TAS (Tacoma Accessorizing Syndrome): a recurring and irrestible need to own and accessorize/personalize a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck in any of it's iterations past, present or future.

    Manifestations include:

An uncontrollable compulsion to spend money on the Tacoma for items of perceived inhancement of performance, style, safety or convenience no matter how marginal any actuall improvement maybe

An uncontrollable compulsion to explore with intent to improve or change to better suit personal preferences mechanical, electrical, electronic systems of the Tacoma and share with other TAS suffers.

A need to seek approval/advice of/on completed or planned accessorization/personalization of the Tacoma from other TAS suffers.

An uncontrollable desire to create, design or adapt items that supply other TAS suffers a means to satisfy their compulsive desires.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. Just because I spend all of my free time trying to decide on the perfect suspension and other needed upgrades for my Tacoma does not mean that I have a problem. I can stop whenever I want!

    Hi,

My name is Jim and I have TAS. Its in remission now! And I don't like the feeling. I don't know what to do with my time, I feel an emptiness, BluTaco is sitting out in the snow, needs to be washed but I know if I do that I will think of something else that needs to be done and will be spending more money and no longer be in remission.
