Just wondering... what mods actually boost performance?

for example. KN air filter...better gas milage? or just better on the vehicle in the long run?..

or a special exhaust? better milage? more power? or just nice sound?

or anything else you have added that is benificial other then looks or sound.

The exhaust and filter will yield minimal gains. For a little more, buy some headers.

Or you can always boost.

The biggest performance gains you will see in a single mod will be done by forced induction or the APR X-1 (stage I kit).

Rule of thumb is you need 5%-10% increase in power to actually feel a difference in performance.

To break it down, an engine is a big air pump.. the more air you pump through it, the more powerful it will be. So intake and exhaust mods work well together, and will provide an increase in power.

Fuel mileage is determined by the driver. Of course the easier the engine works, the more efficient it will become.
