Best Wiper Blades

I am in need of some new wiper blades and haven't seen a poll yet with which wiper blades work the best/last the longest??

PIAA sucked, the end caps flew off both sets I tried. Huge fail, blade itself was OK but crap execution

where is SilBlade on this list ?

Michelins dry out in very hot summer and do not last. Ok until summer hits in my real world experience.

Rain-X....ok but I found better (icons) Rain-x die early

Trico NeoForm...they don't work on curved glass that well, prob OK on Taco, not OK on Yaris or other very curved glass ends

Stock toyota....all they have going for them are CHEAP refills !!!! if a rear blade, must use stock toyota,
it is the only thing guaranteed to work right everytime


30 years of motoring, very concerned with snow and crud on glass, I have found
Bosch Icon leave me with zero regrets. All my rigs now wear Icons. very happy with them.

 

I personally prefer either the Rain X Latitudes or the Bosch Icons. My last pair of Latitudes lasted well over a year and I only swapped them out because they got a little noisy. They still wiped pretty well though

 

I buy the cheap Rain-X blades, I think they're weather techs or weather beaters, something like that. I like them better than the Bosch Icons. The Bosch blades were great but didn't seem to last long.

Stock is fine with me. If you want any blade to last a long time (I know this is super nerdy) clean them with isopropyl alcohol once a week or so. Rubber loves alcohol.

When we lived in Arizona I would keep a pint of isopropyl handy, cheaper than replacing dried out blades every few months.

 

Hmm never thought about doing that. Not sure I am that worried about them.... Agreed it would be cheaper

I'm trying the Silblades wipers now and are working very good, the factory toyota ones are also good but for only 6-8 months for me.

 

Stock Toyota refills for me, i use them on the wife's car and my truck. I never have any problems with them, they are cheap and last a long time for me.

 

regardless of what i use they only have ever lasted 8 months tops with the last leg being pretty painful with streaking and poor cleaning. bottom line, a person living in a snowy climate like i do has to replace wipers summer and winter.

 

Keep a good coat of Rain X on the windshield and it won't matter what blades you end up buying....

 

I keep Rain-X on the windshield and run Anco winter blades. I can usually get two full years out of them before I think about replacing them.

 

Bosch icons or Michelin stealth... Can't go wrong either way....

 

I always use oem refills, cheap enough that I can afford to replace em every season.

 

I replace in the spring and fall. Anco. Cheap enough and they work well.

Makes even the worst wiper blades work like a champ. Heck, you'll find you don't even need to turn your wipers on most of the time with this stuff!
