Fender removal vs water

    Removed the fender covers and now I have those square holes. Does this create any additional risk of water getting into the intake? It seems like I would be ok as long as it isn't submerged but I thought I'd ask. I'd hate for one drop if water to hit the hole at the right angle, clear the lip on the intake, miss the drain holes and make it through the filter...

    I think with fenders on or off it is about the same risk, just wanted to get better opinions from y'all. Thanks!

    Some bilsteins, OME 885's, and an AAL.
    Should be fine. I've had intakes on other cars saturated. And nothing negative happened. It would a hell of a lot more than one drop to affect anything.
