Would rain guards help reduce wind blast?

Well my Tacoma Access Cab has the worst wind blast I've yet to experience in any car. With the Windows down anything over 25mph is like a leaf blower to the ear, even with the slider open.


Do rain guard help in anyway to solve this issue?

 

I have the Weathertec ones and I think they help a lot.

 

You need the big ones for wind diversion.
My rain ones do nothing for wind

 

do you open or close the rear sliding window? I noticed myself if you open the center window the wind blast is greatly reduced

I open it. I can actually reach without taking my eyes of the road. However I feel it does little.

 

I'd never consider an FJ as long as there are Tacomas, 4runners and Wranglers.

I really wish Toyota would make something to compete with the Wrangler however.
