Benefit of doug thorley header?

    **Afe cold air intake w/pro dry filter, Yellow tint fogs, Daytime running lights, led dome light, led license plate lights, Led tail lights, 3 inch carbon antenna, spec d projector headlights, carbon fiber look interior trim pieces, Djm control arms, Djm notch, 4x4 leaf springs, beefed taco 2 inch blocks with offset pin, Rear Qa1 Shocks, Sittin sic stock height coils, x runner bilstein front shocks, weathertech digital fit floor mats, debadged.
    Is the doug thorley header a worth while upgrade for my 2.7l reg cab? I can get it shipped new for $370 so i was just looking for input or any info anyone had from experience or what theyve heard. thanks guys in advance!

    To each their own, but when Workman used to drive a POS 2.5L 4 cylinder Jeep, He thought putting a header on would be a good way to increase power.

    A huge headache later, including the fact that the header had to be ground down on one end cause stuff was in the way, Workman had his header. But he did not have any more power, maybe even less. The noise wasn't very cool either.

    Headers sound great on big ol V8's, and may actually open up a LITTLE power on these engines, not the case on a little 4 cylinder, IMO. Good luck.

    do not waste your time with thorley!! members have had bad experiences with them (maxpower92 i think..) and they are not good headers for the 2.7. get a LCE HEADER! I have one and it provided a noticeable increase in power and is dyno proven.

    Found a link for the lce headers sweet. yah after reading that other thread doug thorley is out for me!

    Built for maximum low end torque, tooter II.VII intake manifold spacer, LCE long tube header, Injen long tube intake, 2,900 rpm torque peak.
    I want to thank you guys for posting your header experiences. I was about to make the mistake of getting a Doug Thorley...

    I just now bought an LCE. :)
