I have a 2011 Timberland Mica prerunner and I'm having a hard time deciding between these two ballistic off-road rims. I have no lift and don't plan on getting one. I'm also having a hard time deciding to go with a 16X8 or a 17X9. Any opinions would be great!

I'd go with 2 in a 17x9 unless you plan on some hardcore wheeling and are worried about rocks chipping them.

I would go for 16x8 as 16" tires are still a bit cheaper although probably not forever as more and more vehicles come stock with 17" or bigger these days. I also like the look of more tire then wheel and it is more useful too.

I think 8 inch wide is plenty for any tire size you would be able to stick in the wheel well without lifting and probably easier to fit. Stock is 7" or 7.5".

If those are the options, number 2 for the love of god, in a 16x8

I had 18s and loved them as long as I stayed on the road. Once I got out on the trail they sucked when aired down.
