Has anyone fabricated their own carrier bracket drop ?

Just wondering if anyone has cut of the bracket and made their own. Seems like just a basic drop down thin gauge metal bracket welded onto the cross member.

Going to be adding a few washers to see what type of improvements I get to get rid my acceleration shutter between 5-10 mph. If it helps i am probably going to try and find someone to fab something more beefy since i'm not a great welder.

yah, i saw the one they offer. It looks good, but its still bolted up to the original bracket. Was wondering if any fabricator have totally ditched the stock bracket (cut off) and welded on their own to the cross member.

 

There is a 3rd bolt that goes above the stock mount
