Do you ever take your truck 4wheeling?

Had a buddy have an alternator go out and weak battery on a trail. I used the battery pack to restart the truck. Then quickly plugged the cig adapter in to it and was able to drive the truck back in to town.

Even a new truck could have batt/alt. problems. The lead plates can come loose on rough roads.

Utard makes a very good point about excessive vibration killing a wet car battery. IMHO,

Good = Marine, Truck or Folk Lift
Very Good = Flat Plate AGM or Gel Cell
Best = Spiral Wound AGM or Super Capacitor
