I've seen posts on here about the rear brakes squealing usually when under 5MPH. I mentioned it to my dealer before, but they didn't do anything because they could not duplicate it. However, I had it back at the dealer for the 20K maintenance and mentioned it again. This time I was told there was a bulletin out where there are multiple items needing to be replaced. The service advisor said that it was between $500-600 for the parts. They ordered the parts for me and I am currently waiting on them to come in. No bulletin # was provided on the paperwork that was provided to me.

I finally got the work done yesterday. The parts were backordered, but only took a few days to get in. I was the cause of the delay.

    Here is the TSB: T-SB-0236-12

    Parts:
    2 - 42444-35050 Gasket, Brake Drum
    2 - 42431-04080 Drum, Brake
    1 - 04495-04020 Shoe Kit, Brake, RR
    1 - 08887-80609 Brake Caliper Grease

FYI...it only applies if your truck is under the 3 yr/36k mile warranty. Had mine at the dealer this morning, and they said it wasn't covered b/c of my mileage (58k).

Had you ever complained about it to the dealer prior to the expiration of the 3yr/36,000 mile warranty? If so, that should be enough to get them to cover it.
