funny. there was a 15 and 18 year olds, that pulled a gun on a guy and made him get out. they got in his car and could not drive it because it was a manual trans. they both got caught and arrested.

It's just embarrassing when a man can't drive a manual. In fact I can't respect a man that can't drive a manual.

it is embarrassing, but that's just how it is these days.

 

You should have a factory imobolizer already. That will stop the standard punk type of thief. If it's a pro that knows how to bypass it, or has a tow truck, it's probably gone anyway.

Lighting, paid up insurance, maybe an alarm with backup battery on it. But I personally don't think I'd lose any sleep over it. Just pay the insurance, lock the doors, and hope for the best. If you go with the alarm, you have to ask yourself what you would do if it went off. I don't have one just for that reason. If it goes off at 2AM, and the guy doesn't run away and is still there when I get out there, then he is probably high, or simply looking for a fight, and nothing good can come out of it. I would rather deal with the insurance paperwork than fight/injure/shoot someone.

 

Don't count on that.

You could always get a big obnoxious sign that says "smile your on camera" Even though its not true... still serves as a deterent.
