    If it were me

I would disconnect the battery and let the computer reset
    and
drive it for a while - 50 miles or so to let the reset occur

    then

if no better take it to the dealer or a mechanic you trust
    and have it checked

Just a quick update on the pinging 1gr

Lately it's been hot here in So Cal and I've been getting that low rpm Ping on the 91octane at low rpm with the a/c on....

I took it to the dealership.....They said its because of my tire size (Michelin atx 265-75-16)

They said I'm running "33's".....yea right more like 31's and they have seen this before......he said it changes the gear ratio of the truck and causes pinging...

I told him its been pinging since new and after wasting 5 hours of my time waiting he said he would call Toyota on Monday and let me know...

He said if I put back on the shitty stock dunlops(that I sold for $150) I could get my warranty back....

7k miles and 1 year old and I think I may have a lemon

Also.....if they are saying my 1/2 or so bigger tires are causing this...

I believe the TRD model comes with 265-70-17's

How would the height of those compare to my 265-75-16's?

Trying to get some more firepower for when I go back

i have the same ping using 87. it went away with 91 but on hot days running ac i get the ping back. even running 91 i still get 16.5 avg mpg. i really think its a tuning defect of the ecu from the factory probably for epa reasons

    i have 26k miles on my 2012 v6. running the bfg at 265 75 16.
