2009 taco clicking sounds

    front/rear detachable winch, custom sound 4 inch lift, 265/75 tires camper shell color match
    Access, 2009, V6, 6 manual, 50,000, a strange clicking sound from "somewhere" under the hood, can not quite find where. It only happens when its very cold and its very noisy when down around 5 to 10 degrees. what's going on here. or is this an engine getting old

    I swear if another person responds to these threads as "valve noise" or exhaust tick... I'm going to go ape sh*t.

    Some say its the plastic piece of the intake hitting against the fender on the passengers side. Not in my case. good luck with the search.
    I got so fed up with the noise that I just blast the stereo
