The Console Vault is a nice piece - when finances allow I'm getting one too. It sucks that Toyota doesn't give us an OE locking console / glove box, but this is better / stronger anyway.

I have had mine for right at 3 yrs. Costco used to carry them online and my GF at the time (wife now) bought it for me. They were on sale around 189 or 199 back then.

I like the concept and love mine. My only gripe is that my fullsize 1911 doesnt fit easily in the CV. That is my only complaint. I just carry a different pistol now :)

I ordered mine today. My primary is a S&W 1006 10mm but it's the same size as a .45 (and my others are full-size also) so I guess I'd better go looking for a new "carry-size" pistol. Oh. Darn.

Gotta give props to Jenna at Console Vault. A very nice, helpful lady to work with. My on-line order hiccupped, she checked to verify things and then took my order over the phone - no fuss no muss.

Hey OP got any pic's of how big the inside of the box is? I use my center console for a lot of stuff so curious to how much space is lost when using this box.

    Thanks

this is kind of a shot in the dark but does anyone know if it will fit my XDM 40 Tactical model? I love to have one of these in my truck and would be even better as Im getting my CCW in May.

I have this safe. It fits under the front seats and is cabled to the seat frame. It will fit a fullsize pistol, and I get to use my center console. There is a little bit of overlap between the lid and base to keep someone from prying it with a screwdriver. It would be hard to pry it open anyway since you have to hold on to it while you're messing with it. $50

I have one in CA. I put my gun in a little carry case with a travel lock on it, then lock it inside the console. I am no lawyer, but that should make it CA legal and make it tough for a car thief to get to quickly on a smash and go.

    Bone stock for now....
Old thread, but has anyone purchased one of these with a key lock and wish they had gotten the combo lock or vice versa? My wife got me one for Christmas and it is a key lock and I can't decide if I would rather have the combo.
