    1. For those of you who have installed the lower grillcraft grill , how did you get the "claws" to disengage that hold the bumper cover on , they are under the headlight just forward of the lower portion of the fender flare. I got one to release, don't know how and the other is kicking my butt.

    2. Also for the same crowd , did you leave the lower grill in, or cut it out too.
if anyone has closeup pics of the lower with and without the old section i would appreciate it. I've searched and find a lot of pics for the upper but no deatailed ones of the lower.

    Thanks in advance.

    Lots baby!
Here are a few pics. I puller the whole bumper cover off to do the lower grille. Much easier. Notice the blue tape. This is to prevent scratching the paint when removing the cover. I did this alone and it was a little clumsy.

    Looks sweet.
I like the grill, thinking about it myself, possibly with some KC Hiilites recessed behind it...

I have the Grillcraft upper and lower. I followed the instructions that came with the grill (also on their website). Unbolted the front bumper cover and don't remember exactly how it came off but after trying lifting up and out in a few different angles it came off pretty easy. Like someone already posted,,, did it by myself but would be easier with another set off hands to help you and put down a big blanket on the ground so that the bumper cover doesn't get scratched after you take it off and lay it on the ground. Good luck.

Thanks Drew, I unfortunately am doing it by myself also. That little clip on drivers side is the only thing holding me up, i've twisted and pulled and pushed from the inside and it doesn't want to let go. Figured I'd ask before I break something.

Here's a link to the website install directions http://www.grillcraft.com/installs/install_detail.aspx?install_id=106
but it may not be of much help.

I recall having a little difficulty taking it off also and didn't wanna break anything.
It finally came off but one of those,,, not sure how. lol

I think that I had to lift straight up to unhook it??? Damn, can't remember.

Please be carefull,,, don't wanna see you break anything. Hopefully someone that has done it more recently can give you some better advise.

    Good luck.

To be honest, I do not remember. I do not remember having any difficulty with it. This may help.
