Hey all, was driving home tonight in my 2012 DC and noticed the truck seemed to "feel" a little different in handling over about 50mph. I got home and thought about it, and realized I hadn't re-torqued since I put on my winter alloys. So out I go to check them and about half of the lugs nuts need a quarter turn before the torque wrench clicks. My question is, is a quarter turn too loose enough to "feel" when driving or would it be something else?

You should be able to tell us.

I would have thought no. Quarter turn shouldn't allow play.

Nope, not enough of a difference. If your lug nuts are loose enough to feel, you'll know quickly. You get a wandering effect on the road for a couple minutes before they start working themselves off the studs

Yeah that's pretty much what I was thinking too. Perhaps it was just the road. By that I mean it was a country road and the pavement where vehicles tires would drive is a little lower than the middle of the lane. Plus I have studs on my tires. Perhaps it was just wandering out of those little "dips" in the road.

I just rotated my tires last night and torqued them to 83 ft/lbs.

I think the specs actually call for 84 ft/lbs, it is a good idea to check them after a few days, sometimes you will get a bit more on them
