Ordered mine from TRDparts4u Friday and FedEx is dropping it off tomorrow. Install next week I hope. Not sure how backed up the dealership is and I told them in the beginning I wanted one of their best techs doing the install.

I'm one step closer to having my Taco Supercharged. Mr. FedEx dropped off two big boxes with TRD printed all over it yesterday. Hopefully it'll get installed early next week. Reviews will follow. :)

    1. You won't notice much just put-puting around, but push the throttle any amount past that and you will feel a definite change in the low to mid end, even the top end is improved.
There is an 18% grade hill near my parents, I would almost always have to shift down before making to the top, now I can run 6th all the way up, I still loose a little speed but the pulling staying power is much better.

    2. SC is silent going down the road, quieter than the normal engine or wind noise. Light to mid throttle, low RPM's you will start hearing it growl, get on it and you will hear it a lot, IMHO it is not loud though but I have never been outside my truck while flooring it. :)

    3. Not that I am aware of. I would have the dealer install it, take advantage of the warranties on such a new truck that way.

    4. MPG. NO CHANGE in mpg if you get on the freeway and set the cruise control and leave it alone, and light throttle, i.e. you use the entire on ramp to accelerate. But who is really going to drive around like that with a SC? With that said I drive on the freeway a lot and really only noticed about 0.5-1 MPG drop with mixed freeway/city + occasional spirited on ramp episodes.

    5. As far as premium being expensive, really? 0.20/gal more, and lets say a MAX of 20 gallons if you're on fumes when you refill is $4. Come'on.

Let me know how it goes. I am just hoping its not too loud during normal driving and I hope to see a bit more bottom end. Mine seems to just lag along now.

Supercharger & parts will run you around the 4500$. Stays cheap if you can do it yourself, price goes up with a shop or dealership doing the install. Add whatever amount to the shop or dealership you bring it to

I paid somewhere around the 6K mark for the dealership ordering and installing the kit for me.

don't forget that premium usually shows a slight increase in MPG's, so really you get about the same MPG (in theory)

What did you end up running in the 1/4? I ran a 14.3 with mine last fall. Skip to 2:20 to see my run. It's hard to hear the supercharger with the TA exhaust.

I paid $3890 for the complete kit from TRDparts4u. There was no shipping charge and no tax, just $3890. Installation is being done by my dealer at no charge to me as it was part of our agreement when I purchased my 13 Taco a couple months ago.

I'm hoping they will have it done today. :D

Ok that's a project a few years down the road. Wish I had 5-6k laying around right now!

Fastest I ran was 15.1. Couldn't ever get a good 1st to second shift and I have a lot of extra weight on the truck
